Plaits Meets Macro for Reason

Plaits is so well adored in the modular synth corner of music because of its versatility. The Eurorack module has eight synthesis models for waveforms, FM, noise, and more. Coupled with internal modulations that feature two timbre controls, Plaits is already a great choice for unique sounds. But we haven’t even scratched the service of everything Plaits has to offer.

The Macro plugin for Reason. Macro has kept the original features of Plaits while improving its versatility. The user interface is slick, easy to read and understand too.

The Macro plugin for Reason has taken these features on, and it hasn’t forgotten everything else either.

With an all-new interface designed to take advantage of the Rack Extension format, Macro Multi-Model Synthesizer puts a wide palette of sound generators at your fingertips in a simple, easy-to-explore synthesizer.

Presteign Sound Labs

Many lovers of Plaits adore it for its versatile functionality and the simplicity of its user interface. Who couldn’t? Presteign Sound Labs has added some further functionality into this digital plugin emulation, but not too much.

They have expanded the low-pass gate to give you more control over the shape of its envelope and filter. Not only this, MIDI functions like pitch bend and modulation wheel support have also been added to the plugin.

For an easier understanding of what you can expect from the controls, their labels change as you change the sound model! The original Plaits hardware was a monophonic module, meaning only one voice could be played at one time. You can play up to 16 notes with Macro, so there is a nig difference between the two units here.

Not to mention there’s a bunch of cool presets!
