Dynamic Eq is the latest release by Initial Audio. It’s a parametric EQ with built-in multi-band compression tools.

Initial Audio Dynamic Eq is a fantastic alternative to EQs such as FabFilter Pro-Q. Merging the frequency control of parametric EQs with the dynamic control of compressors allows you to make specific adjustments to any of your channels.

Dynamic EQs such as this are resourceful tools. They give you control over the frequency content with several frequency bands, on top of control of the dynamics of each band.

Initial Audio Dynamic Eq features multiple EQ presets for different instruments. You can browse different presets suitable for pianos, snare drums, and kick drums. Other presets include frequency roll-offs, de-essing, and bandpass.

Dynamic Eq takes this up a notch. It has 16 bands that you can set to be high or low cut filters, high or low shelves or peaking bands too! Furthermore, you can get hands-on and edit the EQ curve by dragging its individual nodes, and a superimposed frequency analyzer provides visual feedback.

Each of the bands has its own threshold and ratio controls. With these, you can dial in the amount of compression for that specific band. However, an Expand button allows you to inverses the dynamic processing and convert the band into an upwards expander.

The user interface is looking pretty simple to use. It’s both clean and resizable, with a straightforward workflow. Furthermore, you can customize it with a variety of colour schemes to suit your personal taste!

In addition, is Initial Audio say that Dynamic Eq does not demand excessive processing power, and you can use it on every track of your music production. This simple, affordable, plugin is a great alternative to Dynamic EQs such as FabFilter Pro-Q.

Dynamic Eq represents the real signal and eq curves, no approximations as many other equalizers do in order to save resources or to have visual benefits
